December 27, 2009, Petaluma, CA: AFMInc has pledged to make more folks warmer this winter season by donating 500 blankets to a homeless advocacy group. In support of this group, Heatsheets blankets will be used at their SleepOut on February 6, 2010.
This December’s donation will directly aid the West Palm Beach, Florida homeless shelter, The Lord's Place, in covering the needs of this winter’s increasing homeless population. The shelter is non-sectarian. (AFMInc is a non-denominational company serving those in various emergencies needs.) The planned SleepOut 2010 is a community-wide event to raise awareness and solicit funds to end homelessness in Palm Beach County. It is being held at The Meyer Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, FL. The blankets will be given to homeless individuals the night of the event, in the hope that they can be used to keep them warm for many nights to come.
