Heatsheets is thrilled to be celebrating 32 years at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon finish line, greeting runners with high-fives, warm smiles – or course, our durable and lightweight blankets!
The Chicago marathon is one of six Abbott World Marathon Major (AbbottWMM) races, which are recognized as the largest and most renowned road marathons in the world, and are significant accomplishments for premier athletes. In the Chicago marathon, runners get to experience 29 diverse Chicago neighborhoods and bask in the history, culture, distinguished architecture and vibrant spirit that the city is made of.
“It is an honor to be a part of an AbbottWMM race and the Chicago Marathon holds a special place in our heart because it’s right in our backyard,” said Heatsheets Director Stephanie Deigan.
Our products have become a staple at the race and are specially designed to regulate runners’ body temperature – whether hot or cold – while providing race directors with valuable advertising space to sell to sponsors, offering custom printing for products with sponsor and event logos.
We’d also like to recognize the Chicago Marathon for being an active member of our Blankets to BoardsTM recycling program, an innovative initiative that allows events of any size to recycle and re-purpose their Heatsheets for transformation into the Trex Company’s wood-alternative outdoor living products.
How are you getting pumped for the race this weekend? Reach out and let us know if you’re available to celebrate with us as we host an event for race directors and our friends in the running industry at Park Grill Chicago, Millennium Park, October 8, 2016.
