We are proud to celebrate America Recycles Day—held Nov. 15 every year to encourage Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products. The goal of the annual event is to promote the social, environmental and economic benefits of recycling and to inspire more people to join the movement.
The initiative is taking hold and growing every year. To date, more than 262 million pounds of items have been collected for recycling and reusing through America Recycles Day, Recycle-Bowl, RecycleMania and the Great American Cleanup.
America Recycles Day is affiliated with Keep America Beautiful—a program hoping to inspire and educate people to take action every day to improve and beautify their community. It is a national initiative and is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.
Heatsheets products are certified Green and are made from FDA food-grade LDPE-4 resin. Our blankets and ponchos pass the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act that restricts the use of lead and phthalates. Recycling Heatsheets can earn you one point towards green certification through the Council for Responsible Sport.
Because of our commitment to the environment in spirit and in practice, we launched Blankets to Boards™, an innovative recycling partnership with Trex Company – the nation’s largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking and railing products. This program allows events of any size to recycle and re-purpose their Heatsheets finish line blankets for transformation into Trex’s wood-alternative outdoor living products, for free. Heatsheets are both made and recycled in the United States.
