A huge congratulations to all the participants in the 120th running of the Boston Marathon! Atsede Baysa took home the women’s 1st place title with a time of 2:29:19, and Lemi Berhanu Hayle earned the 1st place men’s title with a time of 2:12:45. While earning the Boston Marathon 1st place title is an honor not many achieve in their lifetime, for most, the finish line on Boylston Street means more than earning a medal.
Despite the trauma that rocked the Boston Marathon in 2013, many runners turned a tragedy to triumph by running the marathon for themselves, the survivors, and those who were lost. The Boston Strong message was carried with every runner, whom refused to let the events of that day define their Boston Marathon experience. Heatsheets is proud to celebrate their 30-year anniversary being at the finish line of a race that holds such tradition and pride for the city of Boston.
