The 39th annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon happened this weekend. From Lakeview to Chinatown, the marathon featured 29 Chicago neighborhoods and drew thousands of spectators throughout the course.
Of the 40,000 participants, 10,000 ran for a cause, representing over 170 local, national and global charities. With near ideal running weather, Marathon Medical Director George Chiampas reported that this year’s race saw fewer runners requiring medical attention, unlike previous years.
Heatsheets is proud to be the finish line blanket of the Chicago Marathon, which happens right in our backyard, aiding in regulating runners’ body temperatures to make for a safe and successful race experience.
