It’s been another great weekend of races. Heatsheets greeted runners at two finish lines and we were thrilled to be a part of all the festivities. See where we were this weekend:
Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon
More than 26,000 people, from 50 different states participated in the 27th annual Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. Known for its ‘flat and fast’ features, the race has allowed many runners to achieve a personal best. Power walkers and slower runners are also fans of this course because of the 6-hour time limit.
The festive weekend included bands and ‘Neighborhood Entertainment Centers’ every 2 kilometers, while cheerleaders and numerous aid stations decorated the course sidelines. The 65-degree weather made for a beautiful day and a huge turnout.
Thanks for using Heatsheets to brace the heat and wind, guys! @Ivimey, @allisonvandekemp, @damarathoner, @sam.erinn, @moorelandscs, @noracs3, @goldtogreen, @47agoddard, @Henry J Wong, @mvanwest, @alia_dh
PNC Bank Peoria Marathon River City
In the Peoria Marathon, runners get a glimpse of historic neighborhoods, tree-lined streets and brick roads, with each of the four races finishing on the floor of Carver Arena located inside the Peoria Civic Center. Consisting of a 5k, a half, and even a kids 1.2 mile run, Peoria marathon has a course for everyone!
While marathoners come for the races, they stay for the music, drinks, and food inside Carver Arena at the end of the event! It was a great weekend, filled with friendly competition and yummy grub!
You guys were amazing, thanks for showing off your Heatsheets!
