Race Recap: Telcel Rock ‘N’ Roll Merida Half Marathon

It was another great weekend of races and we had tons of fun greeting the runners of the Telcel Rock ‘N’ Roll Merida Half Marathon finish line.

The concept of the fun race started as a simple idea in 1998 – to have a marathon with bands along the course celebrating each participant. It then transformed to the running landscape that ignited the second running boom.

Runners were entertained by national and local bands to keep their spirits high and legs moving. The event, mostly known for the entertainment and energy of a festival weekend, has also raised more than $310 million for participating charities. Race weekend also included a world-class Health & Fitness Expo.
